Lead Stylist
Coralie Adderley
I am Coralie Adderley. I am proud to be of Bahamian parentage, but like you, I am part of a global village. My birth and heritage have given me citizenship in two other countries, and I am deeply connected to several others.
My early years allowed me to enjoy the culture of the Americas and the Caribbean. As a professional, my work with local and international organizations has connected me with special projects, initially in Haiti and Ghana.
I was thrilled to visit the motherland, specifically Ghana. Immediately, I fell in love with so many aspects of their life and culture. The beautiful fabrics' bold colors and the designs' intricacy and comfort speak to the character and spirit of our people on the other side of the Atlantic.
This experience gave birth to CLK Nubian Couture.
My assignment is twofold:
CLK seeks to share my discovery with others everywhere.
It will provide an avenue to fuel my passion and commitment to improving the lives of women and girls globally and create a legacy for posterity.
My immediate commitment is to assist “Sunday Morning Girls,” an organization in Ghana founded by Dawn Sutherland, a dear friend and colleague. This organization teaches girls etiquette, personal hygiene, the facts of life, and more.
Tuition is free in Ghana, but many children do not attend school because their parents cannot afford school supplies, uniforms, food, toiletries, and personal clothing.
Part proceeds from our inaugural launch event were designated for Sunday Morning Girls.
As a core value, CLK will support projects that empower girls in the Bahamas, Africa, Guyana, Jamaica, and Haiti.
